The Working Group has been established to explore the intersections between gender, entrepreneurship and innovation. The gender inequality within entrepreneurship and innovation in Europe and elsewhere is well known. How this affects the outcomes of innovation, i.e. what is developed is less well known – the GILL project calls this ‘Gender Responsive Smart Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GRSIE)’.
Creating opportunities to develop ‘fairer’ GRSIE practices and products, is not a women’s issue. Everyone and every process within the E&I ecosystem needs to be considered.
The Working Group is situated within Living Labs, because Living Labs are at the forefront of user centres design and open innovation, their network can be used to disseminate gender fair practices and open discussion.
