The core group of the SLLC is composed of four PPP partners:

- (FHNW) University of Applied

- Sciences Northwestern Switzerland,

- (HSLU) Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts,

- Prolog GmbH, and (SPS) Foundation “Stiftung Produktive Schweiz”.

These partners bring together a combination of different real and virtual world spaces, collaborative working environments, digital learning ecosystems, methods, tools and curricula for open innovation communities within Switzerland and EnoLL.

Description of Concept

• The real world spaces are in (parts of) dedicated existing buildings of the partners in the Central and Northwest Switzerland. Spaces especially designed for Living Lab projects are also envisioned

• The virtual world spaces are based on an open learning and knowledge sharing platforms, like for example (EKOF), running by an UESB – Unified Electronic Service Bus service available for anybody

• Open content distribution and service access environments or web based services e,g, Webcorp Grove

• The Living Lab equipment also consists of existing and especially designed systems e.g. an online catalogue and rental system for facilities and facilitators actually developed within a HSLU-project to increase the usage of existing equipment and specialists and to optimize information and utilization

• The Living Lab offers in general the IT infrastructure that is necessary for online collaboration and communication. It interlinks it with business networks and dedicated trainers and coaches as well as collaborative platforms like the virtuellefabrik.ch

• A Swiss Living Lab Platform is additionally planned to generate together with the establishment of the “ENoLL Knowledge Academy” as a prototype for any European Living Lab environment
