Welcome new ENoLL members!

The 5th wave ENoLL members were welcomed on May 16th in conjunction with the Future Internet Week in Budapest, The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Vilmos Németh, Head of Department, National Office of Innovation and Mr. Per Blixt, Head of Unit, Information Society and Media Directorate General of the European Commission on the behalf of Mr. Zoran Stančič, Deputy Director-General, European Commission, DG Information Society and Media.  


Concrete steps towards Africa - EU Cooperation on Living Labs

The Living Lab approach for the development of innovative Information and Communication technology (ICT) services is proving an effective way to bring true and sustainable innovation to the broader dynamics of development at the local, national and regional levels. The principle of collaboration and co-creation by a broad parthership of all relevant stakeholders not only produces innovative technologies but equally promotes the emergence of new forms of collaboration as well as the behavioural transformation required to make the shift towards sustainable forms of human activity.

With over a billion users world-wide, the Internet is one of history’s great success stories. Its global, integrated communications infrastructures and service platforms underpin the fabric of the European economy and society. Yet today’s Internet was designed in the 1970s, for purposes that bear little resemblance to current and future usage scenarios. Mismatches between the original design goals and how the Internet is being used are beginning to hamper its potential.

Launch Event for the 5th wave of Living Labs

European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) together with Corvinno, Hungarian National Innovation Office invites you to the Launch Event for the 5th wave of Living Labs on 16 May 2011, Gerbeaud Event House, Budapest, Hungary. The event is held in conjunction with Future Internet Week.

The aim of the event is to discuss the role and the value of European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and User Driven Open Innovation in the context of the societal challenges of our time as defined in the EU 2020 Strategy by the European Commission.

Elections of the new ENoLL Council

Elections for the new ENoLL Council took place at the ENoLL General Assembly in Brussels March 28th, 2011. Including the Council, the new Chair, Secretariat and Treasurer of ENoLL were elected by the Effective and Associated Members in the Council.

Living Labs in Southern Africa (LLiSA) and the way forward

The 2nd annual conference of Living Labs in Southern Africa  (LLiSA) took recently place in Cape Town and was hosted by Reconstructed Living Lab (RLabs). The event was a great success with all the Living Labs sharing their information freely for everyone to grow together.
